I wouldn’t recommend anyone to use cheap hosting for important website. One dollar per month hosting accounts are not as fast, secure or reliable as more expensive options. However, sometimes these cheap hosting providers can be a good fit for side project or for testing purposes. I use them from time to time for some sites/blogs and here is a short list with my review of each provider:
1 – hostbudget.com $9 per year
One of the cheapest services and a very reliable one. Site I hosted with them never got hacked or infected.
2 – hostripples.com $12 per year
Although their website design leaves a lot to be desired, their service is top notch. Support tickets are taken care of in a matter of hours.
3 – mytruehost.com $12 per year
I don’t know how good their customers support is because I never had to contact them. I wonder how they can keep such a great servers for so small monthly fee.
4 – webhostingworld.net $12 per year
Another excellent hosting provider with affordable prices for shared and reseller hosting accounts.
5 – aicheapwebhosting.com $12 per year
Good servers. With this company you will have piece of mind that your site won’t be infected.
6 – waxspace.com $11 per year
Unlimited disk space, unmetered bandwidth, no problems once or ever with this cheap hosting.
7 – hostbig.com $12 per year
Extremely reliable and affordable hosting provider with unlimited webspace.
8 – 3ix.org $12 per year
Another site that will hurt your eyes, but fortunately not your wallet. I use their servers for several years and have to say that it’s one of the most reliable hostings on the market.
9 – myresellerhome.com $12 per year
Very good service that offers unlimited diskspace & bandwidth.
10 – hostolx.com $12 per year
Good hosting provider that won’t double the fee after first year.
11 – upwebhosting.com $12 per year
Offers unlimited disk storage, unlimited bandwidth, host unlimited domains, all for just 1 dollar per month.
12 – hobohost.com $12 per year
One of the oldest cheap hosting providers online. Works like a clock.
13 – hostdepartment.com $12 per year
Offers cheap web hosting plan with 500mb disk space limit.
14 – obiztek.com $12 per year
Another site that looks like it was made in stone age. I started using them a few month ago. So far, so good.
15 – hostmyweb.lk $6 per year
Very cheap hosting provider from Sri Lanka.
16 – 1dollar-webhosting.com $12 per year
Although this site was launched in 2007, their site design looks like it’s from nineties. Not very secure host.
17 – prewebhost.com $12 per year
This is somewhat average cheap hosting provider. Didn’t had major issues, but site speed is not excellent.
18 – hostmonsta.com $12 per year
Their server was hacked (obviously not by me) and they suspended my account. Not recommended.
19 – net4.com $12 per year
Haven’t use them yet. Found them while doing research for this post. Will update this article as soon as I have more info about them.
20 – bizzyshark.com $12 per year
Not recommended because they don’t accept card or paypal payments.
21 – 2gbhosting.com $6 per year
Not recommended. Your site will be hacked and suspended in a few month.
22 – sbdpk.com $12 per year
They don’t secure their servers and then suspend your site because some hacker ravaged their server.
Side notes:
Although I mention sites appearance in reviews, I don’t care much about their design. As long as their server is fast with enough resources, they can have only “Hello World” and “Buy Now” button on the homepage.
Having your site hacked on cheap hosting is not a tragedy, not even a surprise. I You should back-up the files regularly, whether you host on cheap or expensive server. What is annoying is when you find out your site was suspended without any notice because somebody else has been naughty.
